Military veterans fight for medical marijuana to kick opioid addiction

Many members of the military use opioids to treat their injuries, and as a result, statistics are showing a significant spike in the percentage of veterans with addiction issues. Opioids have taken a significant toll on veterans, and the VA is searching for alternative treatments. With opioid use decreasing statistically in states with legalized maruijuana, some activists encouraging them to turn to medical marijuana, specifically CBD based products. Support is growing, but a comprehensive program would be required to proceed with such an initiative.
